Location: Chester VA (local candidates required, Chester, VA is very close to Richmond, VA)
Duration: 10+ Months
Skills Needed:
· 10 years experience required to decompose upgrade requirements into project plans for upgrade work and testing purposes.
· 10 years experience required Ability to document process flows
· 3 years Experience/knowledge required with SharePoint is a plus
· 5 years experience required in High level knowledge of programming practices
· 5 years experience required in Familiarity with relational database concepts and SQL
· 1 years experience required in PMP or COVA PM Certification
· 10 years experience required in Technical PM experience (systems analyst and/or architecture analyst experience a plus)
· 3 years experience required with testing scripts and system testing a plus
· 3 years experience highly required with architecture reviews a plus
· 5 years experience required with application development projects
· 1 year experience nice to have in Public Sector background/experience a plus
· 3 years experience required with technical upgrade projects involving window &/or unix servers
· 3 years experience required with SQL and Oracle databases upgrades
Description:
· Strong technical project management skills, including managing matrixed resources.
· Strong business and technical analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking.
· Ability to run technical and project meetings and translate into work planning and project schedules.
· Ability to decompose upgrade requirements into project plans for upgrade work and testing purposes.
· Clear and concise documentation skills
· Experience working with diversified stakeholders and understanding the project needs
· Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while maintaining a professional manner.
· Self motivated team player – able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
· Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when required.
· Effectively manage and solve complex business problems
· Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities
· Ability to document process flows
· Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses
Preferred Skills:
· Experience/knowledge with SharePoint is a plus but not expected.
· High level knowledge of programming practices
· Familiarity with relational database concepts and SQL
· PMP or COVA PM Certification. Other PM certifications or degrees considered.
10+ years Technical PM experience (systems analyst and/or architecture analyst experience a plus)
· Extensive experience with MS Project and creating project plans.
