Role: Senior COGNOS Developer

Location: Deerfield, IL

Start Date: ASAP

Duration:12 months contract 

Client :  TCS

Rate : $ 51/hr on c2c

Job Description :

Role	Senior COGNOS Developer
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills	o Developer must have 6 years IT experience. o Minimum 4 years of IBM Cognos experience designing, developing, maintaining reports and modeling data (v10.2).  o Experience using Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Framework Manager. Cognos Reporting Studio , Analysis Studio,  Framework Manager, Cognos Transformer , Power cubes, Oracle Database , SQL Queries  understanding/Writing/Debugging.  o Experience developing and enforcing data modeling standards.   Need to handle the cubes  independently.  o Experience working with relational databases and Dimensional Databases. o Proficient in implementing user level and data level securities within Cognos . o Two or more years of experience being able to map design documents and solutions that match the business requirements.  o Experience working with programming concepts o Expert in writing SQL and performance tuning SQL. o Ability to complete solid unit testing on your own work. o Ability to create requirement documents, tech specs, unit test results, estimation documents, road maps, and architecture diagrams. o Ability to analyze requirements and direct to an appropriate solution that will fit within a reasonable technical maintainable design.
