Position : Cobol Developer
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: Long Term
ONLY GC OR USC
| 1. Good hands on and working knowledge of cobol with coding skills for writing new program or enhancements to existing programs. At a minimum should know divisions, paragraphs, sections knows implementation of occurs, perform, evaluate and different condition statements. 2. In CICS, the expectation is to know map, map sets, pseudo conversational techniques, link and xctl commands. Should have working knowledge of how a screen works and interacts with a VSAM file. Linking different programs and how control flows. 3. For VSAM, one should have a fundamental knowledge of each of them. How a file is ready with a primary key and its commands. 4. In depth knowledge of JCL regarding file overrides, passing data from a JCL to a program, steplib, joblibs etc Thanks & Regards,
