QA Automation Engineer
The Role of the QA Automation Engineer is to design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions in line with the test automation framework laid out by the testing organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 year degree in computer science / software engineering or minimum 5 years' experience in related field.
- Minimum 6 years experience in testing organization with 4 years in test automation
- Familiarity of the underlying architecture of a multi-tiered browser based applications with mainframe back ends and Web services
- Extensive use of automated testing tools (preferably QTP/UFT, Selenium), Test Ng, J-Unit, Cucumber
- Experience on automating mainframes application
- Ability to develop automated solutions to expedite the testing process by supplying and maintaining an appropriate automation solution
- Ability to define and follow an automation solution framework (e.g., data driven, key word driven, Hybrid, etc.)
- Managing test execution & performing test execution
- Ability to work in different kind of project delivery methodology (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile etc)
- Ability to do feasibility analysis on applications for automation and demonstrate/showcase proof of concepts
- Tracking/publishing all testing metrics to show and measure improvements, metrics should be reviewed at least quarterly with Director and VP level to show measurable improvements
- Programming experience a PLUS
- Amex experience a PLUS.
