Position: QA (Auto)

Location: Downtown Chicago, IL

Length: Year contract plus extensions

Local only

 

MUST HAVES:

• Development Portion:
o 5+ years of software development experience, strong ability and experience in Java programming
o 3 – 5 years of Development experience with at least (2) years in Java – will need to prepare a Java coding sample
o Expertise in SQL (for Oracle), and Shell scripting, familiarity with XML, experience working on Linux platform, knowledge of middleware interfaces
• Proficient in writing core Java applications (J2SE), including familiarity with the Java collections and concurrency libraries.
• Proficient in data retrieval and message parsing. Experience with Tibco or other messaging middleware a plus.

• Automation Portion:
o Ability to design, implement, and expand scalable test automation solutions independently and in a timely manner.
o Experience with at least one test automation platform (preferably Selenium or other Java based platform), experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks (for both GUI and non-GUI interfaces).
• Testing:
o Create, execute, troubleshoot Unit and Systests
o Ability to conduct root cause analysis of defects identified in a timely manner and provide follow-up with development, business analysts …
• QA: Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies, experience testing web-based applications and futures/derivatives industry experience is strongly preferred
• Other: Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others with varying levels of technical understanding. Ability to master new concepts quickly.
