Title:Sr. Java Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration:6+ months

 

Primary Objective:

Sr. Java developer will be responsible for development of highly scalable ingestion and access APIs on NoSQL/RDBMS platform. He/she will also be responsible for building data push services using AMQP based messaging services.  Proficiency in Service Orient Architecture and RESTful web services is required. He/she will work closely with technical leads and application architects to design and implement highly scalable APIs in conjunction with large data sets.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

• 7+ years of prior hands-on experience developing software applications using Java technologies.
• 7+ years of experience in the following areas Java 7, JAX-RS, Jersey 1.17, XML, JSON, Atom, JAXB, GSON, Groovy, Spring Data, cURL, Advanced Rest Client, Apache Jmeter.  Tomcat 7,  Eclipse JUNO, Maven, Gradle, GIT, Gitty, EGit. RabbitMQ 3.0.4
• 3+ years of experience in Riak/Redis/Hadoop/MongoDB
• Experience building multi-tier, scalable, server-side applications
• Good understanding of Web Services protocols (REST) and architectures
• Good understanding of web security including OAUTH
• Prior work experience in working with cashing technologies like Akamai and/or Memcache
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic fast paced environment
• Results oriented professional
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field

 

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Prior experience with cloud hosting environment
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Experience in large data services platform
