Job Description:
ü This Consultant provides technology leadership in the area of Informatica integration development.
ü This Consultant will focus on developing and delivering high quality enterprise integrations, both as an individual contributor and as a part of a development team.
ü He/she is responsible for creating clear and maintainable designs and code as well as reviewing the code and designs of team members and correcting if necessary.
ü This Consultant is expected to participate in design and architecture discussions alongside a Technical Architect or Technical Delivery Leader (TDL), and to actively participate in estimation, task definition, implementation efforts and status updates.
ü He/she is also expected to shepherd code that has been developed through the development process and lead the efforts of planning/migrating the code into production systems efficiently.
ü This Consultant will be leading or participating in on-site project teams.
ü This role requires excellent hands-on technical skills in Informatica architecture and development.
ü This role will work closely with key departmental, management and project stakeholders across the organization.
ü Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization is a key priority in this role.
Responsibilities:
ü Design, develop and maintain Informatica based solutions for POS and Back office systems.
ü Work with project managers and business analysts to develop and clarify in-depth technical requirements.
ü Work with architects to establish technical soundness of the solutions.
Required Skills:
ü Minimum of five (5) years in developing Informatica integrations.
ü Hands-on skills in Informatica architecture, development and design patterns.
ü Experience in designing and developing software products.
ü Experience in UML modeling and use case driven development.
ü Good understanding and experience in relational databases (Sybase, Oracle or SQL Server).
ü Knowledge of popular open source frameworks.
ü Experience in security systems and frameworks (JAAS, LDAP).
ü Full understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services.
ü Strong background in full lifecycle development using multiple platforms or languages.
ü Familiarity with internet protocols such as http(s), SOAP, XML over http/https.
ü System architecture and development experience in a high transaction/high availability systems.
ü Full understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
ü Full understanding of JasperReports version 3.X and 4.X.
ü Strong background in full lifecycle development using multiple platforms or languages
ü Ability to interact with Management and Software Developers.
ü Ability to interact at a technical and non-technical level with Infrastructure, Network, Development, BA and QA teams.
ü Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including facilitation and team leadership skills.
ü Must be comfortable working in ambiguous and/or stressful situations.
ü Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance.
ü Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks.
ü Ability to learn new tools and technologies.
ü Ability to work independently and in a team.
Certification: Sun Certified Java Programmer certification is desirable.
Education: BS or BA degree in a related field required, / relevant work experience.
