Job Description
The Cloud Solution Architect develops and promotes solutions that incorporate numerous Intel platform ingredients in the Data Center compute, network, security, storage, and manageability and orchestration software areas. Special emphasis in big data analytics, Hadoop on public, private and hybrid clouds. This requires a strong technical foundation in multiple of these areas.
This position builds relationships with key account stakeholders & eco-system vendors, becoming their trusted technology advisor through understanding their business and technical problems, while demonstrating how these can be solved through the use of Intel-based products and solutions. The individual must manage deep on-going technical engagements from pre-sales inception through to Proof-of-Concept and final deployment working closely with the account team.

Qualifications

The position requires a combination of broad technical skills across hardware and software in embedded systems and technical domain expertise in networking.

Minimum Qualifications

·         Technical undergraduate degree (BSEE or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering), M.S. or Ph.D. degrees are preferred.

·         10+ years of experience in Cloud Computing Industry.

·         Experience in Requirements Engineering, Solution Architecture, Design, Development and Deployment.

Additional Profile Characteristics Preferred

·         2+ years expertise in private clouds: OpenStack, Microsoft Hyper-V/SC and Azure Stack, VMWare-based systems. This expertise runs deep in the work of the storage, databases, networks, security.

·         Must demonstrate proficiency in architecting large scale solutions using public and hybrid cloud: AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMWare Air, etc.

·         Ability to work with Windows and Linux platform.

·         Expert in big data analytics, and Hadoop including high availability, infrastructure planning, capacity planning, design patterns, etc.

·         Expertise with different cloud storage: Cassandra, HBase, Ceph, etc.

·         Expertise with different databases (SQL & NoSQL): mongoDB, PostgreSQL, mysql, riak, etc.

·         Experience in networking technologies: Virtualization, VPN, Load Balancers, network protocols, Openflow, etc.

·         Experience in Security (especially Intel product): Intel TXT, TPM, IPS/IDS, etc.

·         Experience in NFV and SDN networking technologies.

·         Programming skills in C, C++, Python or Java.

·         Demonstrated ability to listen, understand and respond professionally to customers including strong technical writing and presentation skills

·         Ability to work independently, be proactive, multitask effectively.

·         Managerial skill for project management and resource coordination across multiple parts of the solution ecosystem.

·         Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally.
