Job Title : IT Security Engineer

 Duration : 6 months

·         Qualifications:
·         8+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls and IPS and load balancing infrastructure.
·         Minimum 6+ experience working in network information security, specifically firewall engineering.
·         Highly proficient in TCP/IP Networking.

·         Knowledgeable in network security, routing and switch configuration.

·         Experience with enterprise firewalls, network switches/routers, and host based firewalls.

·         Cisco IOS knowledge required.

·         Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies and configuration
·         Demonstrated experience  with network forensic tools such as Wireshark
·         Strong understanding of network device standards.

·         Familiarity with RedSeal or comparable tool preferred.
·         Understanding of routing protocols (RIP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)

 

Other Information : ·        

The primary focus of this work will be to work with IT Security and the network teams to determine unneeded, outdated, or incorrect rules, and ensure that all rule sets allow only authorized services and ports that match business justifications.
·         Clean up firewall rules providing access to PCI zone, including PCI, ecomm and DMZ segments.  Remove stale rules and validate business requirements for rules that do not conform to security policy.
·         Establish a process and procedures for network security changes and audits.
·         Ensure relevant network data is incorporated into appropriate information security systems.
·         Collaborate with vendors and relevant IT groups (particularly networking) related to network security.
·         Implement and make recommendations for Information Security policies and standards at the network level.
