YAYA News! Hot off the press!   1. Thank You Orlando! Our benefit show was a success thanks to you! We would like to thank all the musicians, spoken word artists, rappers, and other performers as well as everyone who made donations for the raffle. This show was a success, with a turnout of around 70 people! Thank you all for attending! It was great to see our community coming together in support of Orlando YAYA :) Please visit our website to read a report from the night and to check out some pictures! Thanks to your generosity we are closer to our goal of $5,000 dollars for our matching grant. We still have a few days to collect $900 dollars. Will you help us get there by making a tax-deductible donation of $100 or less? Our deadline is June 29th! Thank you for your support! 2. Demand overtime pay for farm workers!    It has been 74 years since farm workers and domestic workers were left out of the landmark federal law setting minimum wages and overtime for American workers. Take action to demand overtime pay for farm workers! 3. YAYAs in Action  YAYA members traveled to North Carolina in support of FLOC's campaign to improve the working conditions of tobacco farm workers. Read More.   The United Farm Workers celebrated a half-century of successes last month at the UFW 50th Anniversary Convention. YAYA was there to show their support and appreciation for their work. Read More.     Orlando YAYA supports DREAMERs in their efforts to organize for prosecutorial discretion and immigration reform. Read More.    Tampa Bay YAYA continues to outreach to youth and young adults in the area.
