Job Description:

• Analyze the report specifications provided by the business users for creating reports.

• Design reports using various functionalities in Cognos BI Report Studio and Query Studio and Transformer                                                                                     

• Perform data validations, design and document test plans and test cases.

• Compile end-user documentation and provide end-user training to business users.

• Understanding of the terminology and business analytics within the insurance domain.

Good in datawarehousing and database concepts

• Cognos Framework Manager - DMR (Dimensionally Modeled Relational) and Relational Modeling

• Cognos Transformer/Cubes

• Report Studio - DMR (Dimensionally Modeled Relational) and Relational report development

• Report Studio - dashboards

• Query Studio

• Analysis Studio

• Event Studio

• Cognos Connection

• Cognos Map Manager

• Oracle Database

• Toad • Visio

• Quality Center

• Subversion

 

Secondary Skills:

• Cognos SDK (software development kit)

• Java script

• Cognos Administration - installation and maintenance • Microsoft Project • Working knowledge of SQL, ETL, Snowflake vs Star Schema • Business Insight and Insight Advanced (new with Cognos 10) • Active Reports - new with Cognos 10

2 professional references of the Reporting Manager from latest projects highly preferred.
