Position : Application Architect
Duration :8 to 10 weeks with a possibility of extension if project goes well.  
Location : Work in Hartford with some visits to NYC.

Title: Application Architect – Java EE, LifeRay Portal
Skills: OOAD and Java EE expertise, LifeRay Portal Server and Spring Application Framework expertise, UML, SCRUM, Weblogic, Oracle
Job description:
The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in component-based distributed systems in a digital-commerce environment. Specifically, a successful candidate will have deep, detailed experience in the design and development of LifeRay Portal and Portlet applications using the Spring application framework. Such experience should include application integration, database design, Security, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, UML and expertise in applying common design patterns. Broad experience in Internet development languages, tools and methods including HTML, XML, Java, and Javascript is a must. Experience with enterprise-level architecture integration (e.g. web servers, middleware), workflow and transaction monitors is also a requirement. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Oracle technologies and SCRUM projects. Expertise with popular IDE's is strongly desired.  
 
Responsibilities:
In delivering the Application Architect role, the architect will participate in and produce:
            Collaboration with Client Architecture Resources
            Architectural insights in to functional and non-functional requirements
            Technical Architecture and Documentation
            End to End Application Design and Documentation
            Object Oriented Analysis and Design Documentation for project components
            Implementation Oversight ensuring design alignment
Travel required: Some NYC
Telecommute: no
