Position Title: Automation Engineer (Load & Performance Testing)
Location: Naperville , IL
Duration: 2.5 Months
The role of the Automation Test Engineer is to design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions.
Assignment Description/Responsibilities:
Build, customize and configure tools for Automation and manual testing using SQL and VB Scripts.
Execute and test functional scenarios, perform integration, regression, function and smoke tests.
Work with BA, QA, and Development teams to triage defects and determine root cause analysis.
Provide design documentation and participate in technical reviews for test automation.
Organize test cases and associated automation in HP Quality Center and Quick Test Pro.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science with 2 years of Load & Performance Testing experience OR 4 years of Performance Testing Experience.
Expert level experience developing performance tests utilizing HPs LoadRunner/Performance Center.
Understand the application and its environment
Review non-functional requirements
Analyze performance requirements and prepare the test strategy
Prepare the Performance test plan and effort estimate
Formulate scripting standards and guidelines
Perform script review
Analyze output generated from Load and Performance tests and be able to provide guidance and explain technical points.
Find solutions and initiate testing changes proactively.
Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
Plan, create, maintain and review Load and Performance tests using tools and strategies
Identify re-usable components and update the script library
Coordinate with the stake holders and obtain required clarifications on performance requirements
Co-ordinate with the environment team for setting up of the test environment
Act as a technical leader within the team and serve as a SME
Analyze results of scripts execution Report test results to management
Serve as a technical expert resolving critical and complex issues
