Business Analyst (Mortgage Industry Experience is Must)
Location: Downtown St. Paul, MN
Duration: 3+ Months Contract
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a liaison between user group(s) and technical team
• Define and document business requirements for ongoing system enhancement initiatives
• Identify business opportunities and develop recommendations/drive solutions for application improvement opportunities
• Provide project/task management support as required
• Develop subject matter expertise in the areas of Loss Mitigation and Loan Servicing
• Assist the business in the identification and adoption of operational best practice
Skills:
• 5+ years experience with business analyst
• Ability to write technical business requirements
• Ability to work closely with users and technical team
• Knowledge of industry standard business analysis techniques; object oriented analysis preferred
• Experience in use case business analysis techniques
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with Visio
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly
• Capable of explaining business issues to a technical team
• Must be able to work independently
• Previous experience working on a project that involved customer correspondence analysis and testing. (preferred)
• either previous AS400 development experience or experience performing and validating data mapping on multiple projects using SQL. (preferred)
• Reason for ideally having experience in the above 2 "preferred" skill areas: their success will be about their ability to quickly absorb and execute a business analysis process that will be new to any candidate who has never worked on collections letters before.
