We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a talented team focused on developing advanced GPS and Satellite location services solutions. The Software Engineer will be responsible for development of RESTful Web Services and ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC 3 web applications. He or she must welcome accountability, be goal oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
JOB DUTIES:
Create new software features and architectural changes to:
a robust Web Services environment
ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC Web applications
Work on software issues reported by customers
Create and execute thorough unit tests
Work with Product Management to evaluate requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS:
10+ years of experience developing software
7+ years of experience using Microsoft .NET
Experience with Microsoft .NET 3.5 / 4.0
Deep knowledge of ASP.NET
Experience with ASP.NET MVC 2/3
JavaScript
jQuery
Extensive use of ADO.NET, Oracle 11g
Experience with REST and SOAP web services using WCF
Strong debugging, problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent team skills
Demonstrated success with commercial software code in production
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience with Bing Maps
Experience in the Location Based Services field considered a plus
Knowledge of the telephony industry considered a plus
