POSITION OVERVIEW
The Software Developer is expected to be able to perform all aspects of the development tasks, including front-end, back-end, and database development. Providing coding and data architecture skills to support the business processes of web based medical transcription and coding applications. Four separate .NET web based applications exist today that will need continued support and enhancements due to changes in technology. Utilizes the Agile SDLC methodology.
PRIMARY DUTIES
· Developing, testing and maintaining web-enabled capabilities and custom applications.
· Application architect for database driven web applications.
· Modifying, expanding and updating existing web applications.
· Define and document web-enabled capabilities following processes and SDLC.
· Mentor and technical resource for other development team members.
· Ensures compliance with confidentiality policies and procedures, HIPAA & HITECH requirements and system security policies and procedures.
· Establishes personal and professional growth goals.
· Undertakes special projects and other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
· Experience writing code in various web applications development using ASP.NET(C#, VB.NET), AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SQL. As well as experience with Windows Application development in .NET(C++, C#, VB.NET).
· Experience in SQL 2005/2008 design and administration.
· 3+ years experience developing and supporting production web applications.
· Demonstrable Experience creating and consuming XML and its supporting constructs.
· Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a deadline driven environment.
· Adherence to the Agile SDLC methodology.
· Proven customer service skills.
· Cross-browser / platform experience.
· Effective troubleshooting and analysis methodology.
· Professional work habits.
· Ability to learn and stay up to date with Amphion's systems as well as applications that are used in the transcription and medical coding industry.
· Experience with VMWare, SANs or Dictaphone EXText transcription platform a plus!
Education Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field and 3+ years of web development experience.
Communication Requirements
· Communicates daily with supervisor, exhibiting adaptability, excellent customer service, and professional communication skills. Maintains enthusiasm and a sense of urgency towards work. Accepts responsibility and accountability willingly.
Cognitive Requirements
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cohesively with the other members of the development team. Detail-oriented, resourceful and able work well under pressure with time constraints.
