Job Descriptions:

BIG THINGS:

- 3 yrs. testing Web applications (automated)

- Understanding of Smoke testing, regression testing, whitebox testing, blackbox testing and automation testing

- SQL queries

- Understanding of Microsoft, Java and n-tier web technologies

- Knowledge of Internet Browsers

- Familiar with HP Unified Functional Testing automatic testing tool

- Accessibility testing, functional testing and performance, load and stress testing

PLUSSES:

- Mainframe knowledge

Required Qualifications, Skillsets and Abilities:

Four (4) year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree a plus.
Three (3) years of working with current web technologies and testing of web applications is a must.
Intermediate-level understanding of Smoke Testing, Regression testing, Black box testing, white box testing, and automation testing.
Intermediate-level knowledge of Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies.
Generating SQL queries and using other data interrogation
Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures (including test plans and test cases).
The ability to review and interpret business requirements and design specifications and translate them into test procedures.
Familiarity with database queries and the ability to create input data and verify data updates.
Understanding of Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.
Full understanding of System Development Life Cycle(SDLC) and Quality.
Good communication skills (interpersonal, listening, written and oral), be self-motivated, organized, thorough, and efficient is required.
Basic SQL skills, knowledge of database concepts.
Knowledge of Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome)
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Experience with Microsoft Windows
Familiar with HP Unified Functional Testing automatic testing tool
Mainframe knowledge a plus.
Experience in perform accessibility testing.
Experience in performing functional testing.

· Experience performing performance, load and stress testing

Day-to-Day:

Examination and testing of software so that defects may be corrected before going into production.
Create and maintain all test scripts, test cases, use cases and test plans necessary to execute full life cycle testing of business.
Setup/configure/maintain testing environments in an integrated software application setting.
Review new or modified programs, including documentation, diagrams and flow charts, to determine if program will perform according to user requirements.
Execute, monitor and enhance existing regression tests and established standards and report software defects when necessary.
Adhere to and promote standards for test development best practices.
Maintain detailed instructions in order to test programs for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment.
Collaborate with agency's existing quality assurance/testing team.
