Job Title:TEST ANALYST
Location:Columbus, OH
Duration:9+ months CTH
Rate:$35/hr on C2C or 1099
Job Summary/Job Description:
Will work as a Test Analyst directly with client. Will be part of global Testing organization.
Will develop test cases, gather application test requirements, report test status.
The Test Analyst collects the requirements from the respective design team and translates them into test cases within HP ALM
Candidate proactively clarifies open questions with development and business analysts for issue resolution
Candidate determines the test case design techniques to provide the necessary test coverage.
Design of functional and technical test cases as per the functional/technical specification delivered by the design team.
Collect test data requirements for all designed test cases.
Document the required test data in each test case and align the test data requirements with the Test Manager.
3 - 6 years of experience in the software development and testing industry, including 2 or more years in a Quality Assurance/Testing position
Hands-on experience in Acceptance, Integration, and Functional testing on various platforms
Experience testing applications ranging from enterprise-level to small web-based and client server.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong process orientation and technical skills in test tools
Excellent analytical skills.
Strong proficiency working with HP Quality Center (ALM)
Experience writing test plans.
ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred
Experience in Quality Standards (e.g., ASQ, QAI) preferred.
Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final
implementation. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprises competitive edge. May make
recommendations for buy versus build decision. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically
has 3 to 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience.
Prefer local candidates or those willing to relocate on their own. Resources must be local (on site 5 days/week, 8 hours/day. Travel Expenses not allowed.
