Location : Palo Alto, CA
Duration : 6-12months(possible Extention)
Requirements: -
·Good Understanding of virtualization technology.
·Experience on VMware ESX 5.0 and 5.1 and on Vsphere would be preferable.
·Experience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center.
·Good hands on command line of ESX.
·Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
·Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers resources.
·Experience in backup and recovery of Virtual machines and virtual servers.
·Data Center consolidation experience preferred.
·Ability to perform project work and server builds in a fast-paced environment.
·Strong working knowledge on VMWare ESXi including troubleshooting, performance/capacity/continuity planning.
·Lead in the planning, design and implementation of new application projects.
·Provide necessary support during application development life cycle.
·Ensure company standard server technologies are being followed.
·Performing routine tasks to improve the current setup.
·Provide advanced level expertise on IT issues relating to ESX, Windows Servers etc.
·Good understanding about Storage and networking.
·Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams.
·Handling/ Setting/Configuring Servers.
·Installation and Configuration of Domain Controllers.
·Administration and Troubleshooting of Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers, DNS, IIS.
·Good knowledge in File/Print server and DFS.
·Good knowledge in Windows Clustering and troubleshooting skillset.
·Bug Checking (Dump Analysis), Registry Editor, Performance Monitor and Remote access tools.
·Good knowledge in WSUS 3.0 and basic administration knowledge in SCCM.
·Different hardware knowledge.
·Good Knowledge in CISCO UCS.
·Experience in UCS manager to create server profile and managing UCS environment and firmware upgrade in blade.
·Good knowledge in CISCO UCS Central would be preferable.
·Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
·Certification would be VCP5.0 and MCSA preferable.
·Adhere Security policies and practices as well as demonstrated ability to modify VMWare settings to make the server compliant.
·Knowledge of change management process and experience planning and executing scheduled changes.
·Experience supporting Production and/or Development and Test environments.
