SAP Lead Consultant

Location: Brookings, SD

Duration: 12 months contract

The person hired for the assignment will provide primary IT support and project management for the Brookings plant and may also work on assignments with other US locations, including future SAP implementations.

• Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  
• Provide functional and technical support for the Information Technology systems that support the manufacturing and quality processes of the plant.
  
• Act as the primary project manager and analyst for internal IT projects that relate to the improvement or modifications of the IT systems.
  
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the business processes that are supported by the internal and corporate IT systems.
  
• Troubleshoot technical and data related issues.
  
• Identify supply chain business process changes required to implement SAP
  
• Take on duties that relate to the implementation of SAP, either at the corporate level or local plant level. Develop into a SAP super user in one of the functional areas.
  
• Provide support after hours, on occasion or as needed.
  
• Have the ability to validate and thoroughly document that technology changes and improvements are sufficient and will support an FDA regulated environment.
  

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of IT experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
  
• Five or more years of experience with any of the following applications and technologies:
  
• SAP Manufacturing Applications
  
• Oracle Fusion Middleware – Forms and Reports
  
• HP3000 environment and Cognos software tools
  
• PMCS-NT
  
• Basic knowledge of programming languages, especially C#.
  
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Tools
  
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles for driving continuous improvement
  
• Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies.
  
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, problem solving, and project planning skills are a must.
  
• Previous leadership experience
  
• Self-motivated individual who communicates and influences with credibility and confidence; strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  
• Ability to balance business needs, yet juggle conflicting priorities when it comes to IT sponsored projects or initiatives.
  
• PMP Certification is preferred.
