Title: Oracle DBA

Location: Dayton, OH

Duration: 9 to 12 Months+ Contract (Potential for extension)

Rate: 53/hr. (Flexible depending on experience)

 

Top Skills: Oracle Database Administration, Oracle 10G/11G, Server Consolidation/Migrations, Performance tuning, SQL, Etc.

 

Job Description:

 

We are in search of an experienced Oracle DBA with 7+ years of experience. 

 

Desired Experience:

Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
Modify existing databases and database management systems
Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system
Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project
Solid 10G/11G exposure in an enterprise environment
Performance tuning and database refreshes will be a daily part of this contract role
Prior experience as an Oracle application DBA would be a nice to have but this is primarily an infrastructure DBA role.
Some knowledge of PL/SQL required
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot
Ability to coordinate workload and collaborate with offshore teams

 

*This need is being driven by the workload demands of the new end to end teams and them needing help to get caught up on project/maintenance work.
