POSITION: Lead PeopleSoft Developer
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
DURATION: Long Term
The Senior Developer designs, develops, tests, troubleshoots, and supports the migration of enterprise software applications; supports Purchasing & Supply Chain Management; works with both internal and external customers to implement and execute projects of various scope and budget, including acting as the project manager for small to mid-size projects, coordinating resources, gathering functional requirements, and translating requirements into a technical design that meets the goals and objectives of the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Collaborates with department stakeholders to collect business requirements and translates them into functional designs; discusses current processes/challenges and implements changes to address immediate goals
· Evaluates options and identifies optimized IT solutions to address functional requirements
· Coordinates with consultants and staff to develop new projects and ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented
· Creates and implements system integration road maps
· Acts as the technical lead for projects of various scope, complexity, size, and budget
· Performs quality assurance testing to ensure the end product is fully functional and easily integrated in the existing systems; documents test results to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
· Partners with consultants to document business processes and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer
· Tests and troubleshoots new programs and coordinates user acceptance testing and migration into production
· Conducts research on enterprise application solutions, services, development, standards, and best practices
· Collaborates with Database Administrators, and Network Administrators to install software to ensure proper backup procedures are followed and implement needed security measures
· Participates in and supports the Company's Continuous Improvement program and projects
· Performs other similar duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
· Progressively challenging experience working as an application programmer or analyst supporting PeopleSoft Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.
· Extensive knowledge of the PeopleSoft Financial Applications ( preferably 9.0 and above), People Tools, Integration Tools, Workflow (AWE), Expert SQL Knowledge ( SQL Server or ORACLE), SQR, Crystal Reports, XML Publisher and nVision.
· Ability to write and troubleshoot People Code, Application Engine, Integration Broker, workflow, SQR programs and others integrations.
· Strong project management skills.
