Position: Tableau Consultant

Location: Schenectady, NY

Duration: Long Term  

Min:5 Years

Responsibilities:              

Work with Fleet Testing and Performance team to create real-time renewable Performance/Production data visualization solutions

• Partner with application architects, controls engineers and software engineers to design and develop user friendly displays and wind farm / enterprise-wide reports and dashboards in Tableau

• Test and deploy data visualization solutions across globally

• Assist Performance and data analytic team members to define data interfaces to ensure data consistency across different machines and systems

• Make continuous innovations and improvements for the data visualization solutions

Required Skills & Experience Levels:       

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college

• Minimum of 3 years of web application development experience with the following languages: HTML / CSS / JS, Java and/or .NET that includes a minimum of 2 years of experience with BI (Business Intelligence) and Reporting OR a minimum of 2 years of experience with database and/or historian (Postgres, RDBMS, NoSQL, Time Series etc.,) design, development and deployment

Desired Skills:    

• Individual needs to be fluent in SQL  Tableau and Onshore Wind Global Repository data warehouse. Experience with User Experience (UX) design, processes and approaches

• Experience with Predix platform (REST, Angular, SpringBoot)

• Experience with cloud development and deployment

• Working knowledge of data modeling and analytics

• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills

• Experience with Agile project management methodology

• Demonstrated ability to stay current with latest technology trends, and understand impact of new technologies in a business environment
