Business System Analyst  (Local to MA) and Health Care Experience

Landmark Center, Boston, MA

9 months contract

Position Summary:

The System / Business Analyst will interface with key stakeholders, translating business requirements into SDLC documents. She/he exhibits strong interpersonal relationships with business partners, project managers, the IT delivery teams and Quality Assurance. She/he serves as consultants to business units in planning and coordinating systems analysis, design, and implementation. She/he provides consultation to projects teams and ensures traceability of business requirements through all stages of development. She/he ensures that the design and integration of proposed systems, software, and hardware solutions leads to the effective use of technology. As needed, tracks team activities and metrics, develops reports, analyzes metrics for trends and makes recommendations for improvement. Experience working as a data analyst to evaluate and assemble data for integration as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborates with business partners to ensure current state business process and future state business requirements are fully developed and documented.
• Works closely with project managers to ensure projects are on schedule, on budget and meet business needs.
• Develops and documents technical and functional requirements that translate business requirements associated with new and changing business capabilities into a technical solution.
• Intermediary between the business requirements and the technical resources to ensure technical design, development and testing meet the needs of the business.
• Ensures traceability of business requirements through all stages of development.
• Identifies tracks and helps resolve issues; helps create and execute mitigation plans.
• Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
• Demonstrates thorough working knowledge of the system development life cycle
• Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least five years of system / business analyst experience.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience required.
• Experience gathering and consolidating requirements from cross-functional groups.
• Experience with system & process analysis and requirements gathering.
• Experience with system configuration, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Experience as system & process analyst, business analyst, system administrator and/or test lead
