Description/Responsibilities
| a) SQL Development: Should have good understanding of database fundamentals e.g. Normalization, different database objects e.g. tables, stored procedures, user defined functions etc. Should have expertise in writing T-SQL for creating complex stored procedures, user-defined functions and views. Should have exposure in optimization and performance tuning of stored procedures.
b) SSIS Development: Should have experience in creating SSIS packages using various control flow tasks, data flow tasks and transformations in SQL Server 2008 Business Intelligence Development Studio(BIDS) or SQL Server 2012 Data Tools(SSDT). Should have implemented Auditing, Exception handling and Logging in SSIS packages. Should have expertise in deployment, scheduling and trouble shooting of SSIS package. Should have worked on projects involving large volume of data migration(>100GB) involving complex package development and be aware of fine-tuning packages. Should have exposure to usage of SQL Server Agent for creating and scheduling SQL Jobs.
c) Exposure to Data Warehousing concepts like Dimensional modelling, cubes etc. will be an added advantage. |
