Position : Java J2ee Consultant
Duration : 6 Months Contract
Location :Boston, MA
Description
• Develop new business functions, including web services, using the principles, practices, and deliverables of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• Develop enhancements for and provide support to J2EE application.
• Troubleshoot, fix, and test issues/defects - resulting from either the change control process or production activities
Skills
• Excellent core J2SE programming ability • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience and Strong knowledge of the following tools/ technologies & frameworks: Eclipse, Java Server Faces, Facelets, Spring, Apache Trinidad
• Application/Portal server: Weblogic 10.x
• RDBMS: Oracle 10g
• Good knowledge of J2EE design patterns and web services
• Knowledge of Java community tools/frameworks/app. Servers preferred but not a requirement: Subversion, DBUnit, Junit, JBOSS
Experience
• Six to eight years of system development experience in Java technologies
• Experience with web service development will be a plus
Education
• At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree with a major in the field of computer or information science
