Tell your senator now is the time to move swiftly forward on a new immigration process Yesterday, 3 days after a bipartisan group of U.S. senators outlined a framework for a new immigration process and 2 days after President Obama stated his intentions on this critical issue, the United Farm Workers, the UFW Foundation and their members held news conferences in the Central Coast and Central Valley. The events were held to enlist community support behind convincing Congress to move swiftly forward on a new immigration process that brings long-overdue recognition to hard working, tax-paying immigrant farm workers.
