| Roles & Responsibilities | : | The ideal candidate will blend an interest in administration with a keen understanding of good DB development practices. He or she will have several years of experience as a DBA with DB2 on Linux. The DB2 DBA will, along the java development team be responsible for · Creation of physical DB definition · Initial DB set up for environment · Initial and ongoing sizing of database · Tuning of database and queries · Review of all database changes · Creation and maintenance of Stored Procedures · Monitor test environment for problems · Analyze and group database changes for implementation impact · Creation of implementation scripts · Hand off of DB changes to Production DBAs · Act as the Database administrator for test systems: Backup / recovery / reorgs / runstats etc / run scripts / troubleshoot The DB2 DBA will also be expected to be available during implementations |
