Job Title: Application Development - Business Technical Analyst

JD:
The MCD/IT Restaurants department is in search of a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Technical/Support Analyst for the I-Restaurant and Management of the Shift (MOS) project teams. The I-Restaurant solution provides energy, water and gas monitoring in our restaurants. This position supervises and supports the installation of the I-Restaurant solution for 27 pilot restaurants. Installations may happen during evening hours or over the weekend. Management of the Shift is deployed to 280 restaurants. The MOS application suite provides focus on critical task and performance elements for a shift manager. MOS incorporates a handheld device, a drive-thru dashboard, and a collection of web-based reports to improve shift manager performance.
Responsibilities Key responsibilities include leading support teams in the following areas:
Overall responsibilities:
• Be able to quickly evolve into the role of subject matter expert for McDonald's implementation of I-Restaurant and MOS.
• Learn all aspects of the product and their custom features.
• Bridge the gap between the business customer and the technology solution providers (i.e., vendors, infrastructure team, development team, support team, etc.) by translating business needs to technical solutions throughout the lifecycle of the product.
• Translates support requirements into globally compatible solutions that meet our defined infrastructure and application standards.
• Coordinate and/or execute plans to ensure that technical solutions meet the needs of the business.
• Document support issues and resolutions for L1-L4 support teams, business users and work in partnership with the development teams.
• Create, track and manage support requests, requirements, designs and deliverables per SDLC standards and best practices.
• Automate manual processes and reports whenever possible • Use department standard tools to manage documents and project elements.
iRestaurant Project responsibilities:
• Fully understands and acts as a primary technical consultant of the I-Restaurant solution • Facilitates and supports "live" installations, configuring, staging, shipping, coordinating, scheduling and confirming installations were successful with the restaurant and installers.
Management of the Shift (MOS) Project responsibilities:
• Active management of MOS technical lab which includes hardware and software components • Replicating issues faced by markets in the lab, and supporting application testing efforts • Creating and maintaining deployment process documentation
Minimum Requirements Required qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in solving technical problems. This could be experience on a help desk, in the field, or in systems development or testing.
• Passion for and extreme skill at technical troubleshooting to satisfy customers.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• This position requires someone with extensive support and documentation experience.
• Ability to adjust to shifting priorities daily and even hourly.
• Ability to train and coach other support team members.
• Ability to work with a highly diverse team with many remote workers.
• Skill at using Microsoft office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio.
Desired qualifications:
• Familiarity with McDonald's restaurant operations • Background and knowledge in building automation, electrical and plumbing systems • Understanding Microsoft SQL server, how to query and access data stored within it • 5 years working with customers to develop and define total product lifecycle • Experience with remote deployment and system monitoring tools
* Bachelor degree in related field required.
