Position :Software Configuration Developer|BUILD/RELEASE ENGINEER
USC|GC|EAD Only
Responsibilities :
Build & Release:
ü Expertise building and monitoring software projects continuously with a CI Tools like AnthillPro/Hudson/Cruise Control or other similar tools
ü Create and maintain build scripts for JAVA(Maven) and .NET applications(MSBuild)
ü Expertise in using Maven to manage a project’s build, reporting and documentation. Ability to write custom maven plugins is a plus.
ü Create and maintain deployment scripts of Java/J2EE Applications to any Application Server
ü Create and maintain deployment scripts of .Net applications to IIS Server
ü Experience writing implementation plans for installing software components on build agents, and working with application services team to execute the install
ü Support QA regression deployments, monthly and weekly releases of applications
ü Extensive experience with Maven build process and repository managers like Artifactory and Nexus.
ü Working knowledge of Windows batch scripting, LINUX Shell scripting, ant, perl, shell and beanshell.
Configuration Management:
ü 3 + years of experience of Subversion repository administration: create, load, dump and replay operations
ü Manage branching (create branches, execute merges) and labeling strategies in Subversion, Accurev and VSS
ü Provide direction to development teams on source code management for AGILE development teams
ü Participate in release coordination and communication to stakeholders
ü Create, manage and implement Configuration Management Plan
ü Provide training for end users
ü Good to have: working knowledge of Clearcase, AccuRev, GIT, Mercurial
Project / Process Automation Functions:
ü Administration of AntHillPro, Maven and Subversion, Accurev, Artifactory and Nexus
ü Performing maintenance and upgrade of tools
ü Identify and implement integrations with other development tools such as VersionOne, etc
Continuous Improvement:
ü Implement tactical improvements for Configuration Management and Build and Release tools and processes to better the team
ü Develop and share expertise within the team
Other Technical skills and abilities:
ü High energy, can-do, results-oriented personality.
ü Business acumen combined with a technical background.
ü Understanding of banking system architectures.
ü Knowledge of IT Infrastructure.
ü Knowledge of system integration.
ü Knowledge of the Agile development life cycle.
ü Strong personality, with the ability to manage, influence and lead people.
ü Strong communication skills.
ü Ability to manage conflicting interests and identify compromises.
ü Ability to deliver results under pressure.
ü Excellent written and oral skills.
Qualifications
ü B.S. Degree, Computer Science, MIS or related work experience.
ü Minimum 7 years experience with software configuration management topics and techniques with at least 4 or more years with agile development teams, including source control strategies and branching, continuous integration, build automation, deployment automation, and unit and acceptance testing tools.
ü 7+ years experience operating in a variety of software development methodologies, including waterfall, iterative, and agile methodologies.
