Position: Java Web App Developer

Location: SFO, CA

Duration: 12 Months

 

Description:

- Design, build and support elegant solutions that meet scalability and performance requirements
- Collaborate with business owners to build next generation product features
- Communicate complex technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders
- Work with cross-functional teams to research and resolve production issues 
- Coach junior engineers in their craft

Must Have:
- 6+ years of software design and development experience preferably in e-commerce
- Strong technical aptitude, can do attitude
- Excellent verbal and written skills, problem solving skills, troubleshooting skills
- Results-oriented and proactive with proven leadership skills
- Experience in building responsive web apps through Frameworks like Twitter
- Experience in front end technologies like JavaScript (MVC frameworks), HTML5, CSS3, iOS, Android
- Experience in - Spring MVC, Spring WS (or ApacheCXF or equivalent)
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have:
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Excellent skills with Java, JEE, JSON, XML, API design and development, any RDBMS (MySQL preferred), data structures and algorithms
- Experience at other fast-paced Internet companies, especially Travel companies
- Experience with the following technologies: Travel GDS's (e.g. SABRE, ITA, etc.), unit, functional and performance testing frameworks, distributed caching/grids, JMS, NoSQL
- Recent experience building a highly scalable and available enterprise system
