· Total around 6+ years
· Hands on experience in SQL Server 2008 and 2012 installation in standalone environment.
· Experience in SQL server database creation, setting up logins & users.
· Access control management – Assigning roles/groups and permissions to users.
· Must have experience in SQL server performance tuning.
· Must have experience in SQL server replication technology.
· Experience in troubleshooting Databases production issues.
· Backup and recovery procedures – DBA must have experience in how to troubleshoot backup failures.
· Reviewing SQL server error logs.
· Must have experience to understand existing environment - Jobs configurations, policies, process to perform DBA day-to-day activities. Like checking job failures, taking decision to run/not-run the jobs.
· Experience in SQL server script execution thru command prompt and SSMS.
· Experience in setting up database maintenance plans.
· Experience in configuring jobs.
· Experience in SQL server database backup, restore and post restore activities.
· Experience in database migration/up-gradation from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008.
· Experience in database capacity planning.
· The role is of a technical lead who can work as individual contributor as well as lead the growing team of offshore DBAs in future.
