Role Network Architect
Location Newington, CT
Duration: Long Term
Job Description:
CCIE and 7-10 years of global network architect experience required.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Design and implementation of network infrastructure projects supporting all of UTC's business units globally
- Partner with business units, vendors, and other UTC technology teams to understand network requirements and create optimal solutions
- Perform network analysis and planning
- Document network hardware & software standards
- Manage the development of procedures for installation and troubleshooting of network hardware or software
- Create network design documents tailored to the needs of UTC's business units
Experience:
Required qualifications:
- Advanced experience with WAN and LAN technologies, such as MPLS, Ethernet, WAN acceleration/optimization
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Advanced experience with routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP
- Direct experience configuring Cisco WAN equipment
- Proficient in creating and troubleshooting access control lists (ACLs)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and to adapt in a fast-paced work environment
- Fundamental understanding of proper network design principles
