1. WEBFocus Development experience; Thorough working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets

3. Ability to work directly with customers on dashboarding design and troubleshooting
Job Description: This position serves as the principal developer of a new WebFOCUS environment for an insurance operations division. Performs all complex and high level development; directs the design, modification, maintenance and management of the environment including self-service adhoc pages and leaders' portals.
Required Technical Skills:
• Ability to create a secure environment within a highly regulated industry, while maintaining a user access matrix that is simple to manage by a group.
• Has necessary knowledge needed to build an end-user experience that is fully unimpeded by wait times or lag caused by complex back-end calculations or schema.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve coding issues to fix dashboard as well as errors caused by data sources prone to frequent, unannounced change.
• Advise more junior developers who are new to WebFOCUS

• 5-6 years of progressive experience with WebFOCUS development
• 4 years of database architecture and database design
• 3 years of data analysis, construction and testing
Additional Information: This team supports a major initiative to "Underwriting enhancement product", supporting Nationwide's Life Insurance Business.
The WebFocus developers would specifically be aligned to the Data Analytics Workstream-
Their current gaps include in ability to report out on simple things- EX: how many cases do I have pending?
Work Environment: Large corporate IT environment. Will work in Nationwide's Dublin, Ohio office.
Who is the Internal/External Customer:
Business managers and associates that sell, process, and support the Life Insurance business for Nationwide Insurance.
Business Challenge: Right now managers are being very reactive in making decisions because they do not have access to crucial information on product information, team performance, forecasting, and much more. This tool will give them visibility into these areas and help them make better business decisions.
Two first areas of focus:
1. Case manager and underwriting scorecard- monthly report that tracks productivity; SLA based
a. See feedback throughout the month rather than point in time
b. Specific dashboards for each user based on role
2. LMM report- volume report that goes to every manager- monthly and weekly; volume of apps received and put in force, also has forecast for incoming apps
