Title:                     Teradata DBA

Location:             Dunwoody, GA

Duration:             6+ months

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Administration, maintenance, and control of database optimization, capacity, security, configuration, process scheduling, errors, and execution of maintenance utilities.
• Identify and tune resource consuming SQLs.
• Administration, maintenance, and control of the operating system, network, storage, and tools.
• Management of database objects, data, and referential integrity of the database.
• Mentor and interact with other team members and the client for the dissemination of information about the database and system administration.
• Periodic backups of the database and operating system.
• Plan for and support hardware and software installation and upgrades.
• Coordinate and assist in the implementation of data replication and distribution.

Skills:

• 10+ years of Teradata DBA experience.
• Needs to have top skills in SQL tuning.
• In depth knowledge of operations management and control.
• In depth knowledge of data warehousing.
• In depth knowledge of Teradata.
• In depth knowledge of security tools.
• In depth knowledge of system management.
• Knowledge of Architecture Principles, Advocated Positions, Design Patterns, and Implementation Alternatives.
• Understanding of the Teradata Reference Information Architecture.
• Working knowledge of TASM and viewpoint
