Job Title: Sr. SAP Basis Admin
Location: Chicago, IL
Job description:
The SAP Basis Administrator will provide administration support for a global SAP landscape with multiple interfaces. Systems include SAP ECC, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, SuccessFactors, BPC and other business critical systems. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
Key Job Functions:
ERP infrastructure experience which includes support of small to mid-range systems
Strong experience with operating systems (Windows, & Linux)
Ability to effectively integrate work activities with those of other team members. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Assist in maintaining and managing the SAP technical environment, including interfacing with the technology areas, developing operational standards and procedures and training the op. staff
Experience with SAP Upgrade Tools and Support Pack application delivery tools
Experience with formal systems development methodologies and processes.
Experience in performing business process analysis and business process re-engineering.
Support the development, implementation and use of infrastructure tools and procedures to improve the productivity of the I.T. department.
Provide monthly application user and system reporting.
Provide application and system alerts and announcements during implementation and production.
Provide on call support for High Availability systems.
Provide support for the shared SAP application environments, including managing clients and upgrades. Develop standards, procedures, and interfaces with functional teams implementing the SAP application.
Perform Homogeneous System Copies.
Perform SAP upgrades and enhancements
Manage the development of cross application strategies for the SAP environment, including remote access, reporting infrastructures, archiving, printing and Internet Transaction Server.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with SAP S/4Hana, ECC 6.0 EHP7, BW 7.0, SCM 7.0, CRM 5.0, SAP J2EE architecture, Solution Manager 7.1, GRC, HANA, BOBJ and Content Server
5+ years' experience in relational database environment (HANA, SQL Server, & Sybase)
7+ years' experience in SAP Basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of ABAP development
UNIX scripting skills
