Job Description:

The Cisco Voice Engineer / Administrator is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting all voice-related software, hardware and communication links.

The Cisco Voice Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for Operational Support in charge of configuration, deployment, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting telecommunications network components of a moderately complex nature to provide a secure, high performance network, including services for core LAN/WAN, VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol), QOS (Quality of Service, COS (Class of Service, VLAN's Virtual Local Area Network, SBC's (Session Border Controller) and Sip[ (session Initiated Protocol  Furthermore, the UCengineer will provide operational support of network infrastructure as well as perform on-going optimization of the Network to ensure adequate capacity, availability and scalability

EXPERIENCE IN DATA CENTER is HUGE PLUS
 

Requirements:

  1. Need CCNP VOICE with 3+ years of experience in Operational Voice & network support:
    • Demonstrated current working experience with the design, deployment and on-going management of Cisco networking solutions.
  2. Must have 3-5 hands on/ practical experience with the following Cisco voice applications:  IE _ Consultant who has "managed Cisco IPT/CUCM for an office around 200 users(system admin)". 
    a.    Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) 10.x+
    b.    Cisco Unity Connection Voicemail 10.X+
    d.    Cisco Presence 10.X+
  3. Must have understanding of Cisco VoIP service provisioning methods and procedures related to Moves/Adds/Changes along with system level provisioning including:
  4. Solid Cisco Voice Gateways and VOIP endpoints experience (Cisco IP Phones, Cisco IP Communicator)
  5. Experience with routine system administration tasks such as OS and application patches, upgrades and backups of the voice environment
  6. Cisco TelePresence servers and end points- huge plus
  7. Must have knowledge in Cisco routing and switching with emphasis on EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, Rapid Spanning Tree, and end-to-end Quality of Service
    • In-depth knowledge of layer 3 technologies, such as HSRP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP
    • In-depth knowledge of layer 2 technologies, such as Rapid Spanning-Tree and various LAN/WAN mediums (i.e. PPP, HDLC, etc.)
    • Wireless IEEE 802.11, 802.16d/802.16e
  8. Must have CCNP Voice or higher
  9. Experience integrating with 3rd party communications solutions and, in particular, Microsoft Lync a plus.
  10. Experience in the GAS/OIL INDUSTRY is HUGE PLUS
  11. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
  12. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator.
  13. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
