Job Description

·         Terrific consulting opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester with experience testing Cable (TV) applications (eg - IPTV, VOD, R-DVR, DSTB, Head-End systems, etc).

·         You'll work closely with business users, technical staffs and operations areas to develop new applications as well as enhance existing applications that support our client's business.

·         Applications may span all areas, including: order entry, provisioning systems, call center, customer care & billing, field services, etc.

Job Responsibilities

·         Writing Q/A test cases from scratch

·         Executing test cases

·         Requirements gathering & needs analysis

·         Creating business requirements documents, process flows and functional specs

·         Developing User Acceptance Test criteria

·         Assisting in creating user documentation and/or training programs

Technical / Functional Competencies

·         Working knowledge and understanding of code and test scripts.

·         Prior experience with Java based automation Tools (Selenium).

·         Ability to adapt to the changes within a release cycle, update the test cases and plans accordingly and extend work hours to support production.

·         Experience with manual and automated testing using mobile testing

·         Exposure in using any of the test tools from Client/IBM/Atlassian/Parasoft or custom frameworks.

·         Experience or understanding of automation and testing via scripting/programming.

·         Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies.

·         Ability to choose candidates for automation, and automation for repeatable tests.

·         Ability to build, integrate, and test a given feature multiple times during the integration period.

·         Team player, working closely with the development team as the code is developed.

·         2+ years' experience with development and/or testing of consumer electronic applications and/or devices, including the development of tests cases, processes and work tools including ALM, Jira, or minimum of 2 years of experience with troubleshooting, provisioning or other support tools a plus.

·         Any experience with digital cable networks and systems including Cisco DNCS, Cable Modems, Voice Over IP, Conditional Access, and digital cable boxes would be a PLUS

·         Bachelor's degree in a related field
