Job Description

 

Required Information                                                   Details

·        Required Technical Skill Set                    DB2/SQL query skills, ETL Tool / Abinitio, MQ, Unix, Perl / Shell scripting, endeca concepts, Data Flow         

                                                                            Concepts between various interface systems and troubleshooting skills in data flow

·        Desired Experience Range                       4-5 years in production support

·        Location of Requirement                          Austin, TX

 

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency) :

 

·        Must-Have 4 to 5 years experience in production support handling batch jobs in a multiple interface environment

·        Good understanding of data flows concepts between various interface systems in a complex multi system environment

·        Good analytical / troubleshooting skills in issues related to data flow in the multi-system environment

·        Very good skills of writing/understanding SQL queries in DB2 database.

·        Production support experience and participating in crisis calls

·        Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills, be a team player and self-motivated

·        Should be capable of understanding and analyzing Abinitio / ETL tool graphs and fixing data issues by creating new graphs

·        Should be capable to write reports from database using perl / unix shell scripts

 

·        Good-to-Have            Working experience in ecommerce applications support environment is a plus 

·        Knowledge of MQ series is an added plus

 

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role :

·        Work and co-ordinate with Matrix teams DBA / network /Linux etc as needed to troubleshoot any issues. Should drive the issue with these

·        teams.

·        Respond to alerts from job failures and rerun / fix the jobs 

·        Monitor and make sure batch jobs complete within SLA

·        Document and create new SOP documents for handling any batch support issues 

·        Must be able to respond to business tickets related to data fixes

·        Must be able to find root cause of any data issues that requires investigation

·        Must be able to create new monitors on need basis for any batch jobs

·        Automate repeatable tasks and steps

·        Must be good at using Service manager or some other similar Ticket management  system 

·        Generate / automate reports based on business request using database query

·        Good analytical / Problem solving skills, must be able to correlate the sequence of activities

·        Analyze Abinitio graphs to troubleshoot data issues

·        Create adhoc graphs to fix data issues

·        Troubleshoot item data / order data flow issues between various interface systems : Step, IDM, WCS, OMS, CTC, POMS, etc
