Position : SolR Developer

Duration : 3 – 4 months extendable

Location : Old Tappan, NJ

 

Job description:

 

Hands on experience of SOLR Tool. Additional good to have capabilities on Lucene, FAST.

Knowledge of Java/J2EE.

The resource will need to migrate the existing SEARCH application of the client. Migration from FAST to SOLR and additional enhancements to the application as needed. Resource needs to have experience of Search projects.

 

•        Overall Experience should be 4-6 years

•        Hands-on experience on Search engine – Lucene SOLR

•        Java/J2EE

•        Design and maintain document for SOLR schemas

•        Customization and configuration of SOLR o Solr installation and setup

·         Multi-core and single core

·         Master-slave configuration

·         DIH configuration o Relevancy

·         Boosting and Blocking

·         Stopwords

·         Spell suggestions

•        Work with SOLR API's

·         Solrj

·         DIH

·         Lucene

•        Manage faceting, grouping and highlights.

•        Experience in SOLR Query writing .

•        Experience of Nutch crawler development and integration.
