Re: {PBJFlorida} 18 Children Dead

Good question Miguel...
How much longer do we remain (isolated, separated, alone) and silent?

On that same day, this article was published in Common Dreams.

Julianne Hing: The School-to-Prison Pipeline Gets Its First-Ever Airing in the Senate http://www.commondreams.org/view/2012/12/13-6

Rather than addressing the unmet needs of students, educators think, mistakenly, that this is a control and security and gun issue.  It is not...  IT IS an issue of treating students and each other humanly with connection, care and compassion, not like prisoners in need of training...   Since these qualities are not quantifiable and not measurable, we dismiss them as soft and superfluous educational objectives...

And the violence increases --- it is a cry for attention. It will continue to increase until we respond to that cry.

The victims are getting younger. America does not lead the world in education but it does lead the world in killing its young students. How much longer do we remain silent?
