Job Title: SAN Administrator

Duration: 24 months

Location: Albany, New York

A group company within our client currently seeks a SAN Administrator to join our team in Albany, New York. 
 

 

Qualifications:

Prior to submission the candidate has to fill client skillsheet, you can contact me for the same.
 
Position Functions or Responsibilities:
• Coordinate installation and configuration of our new storage arrays, VNX5500 and VNX5700.
• Move data from our old storage arrays to the new storage arrays.
• Monitor storage and proactively plan for capacity and performance.
• Perform backup and restore functions using Networker tape and Avamar.
• Continue our migration of backup jobs from Networker tape to Avamar.
 
7 + years Technical expert centered around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications; Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions; Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
7 + years Experience in SAN Administration.
 
Required skills include:
- Minimum of 84 months of experience with configuration and management of EMC storage arrays. 
- Minimum of 84 months of experience with LUN configuration and design. 
- Minimum of 12 months of experience with EMC Avamar or Networker backup solutions. 
- Minimum of 12 months of experience using software such as Microsoft Visio to produce technical documentation.
Fingerprint-based background check is required.

 

Required Qualifications:

Qualification: Technical expert centered around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications; Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions; Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Minimum Years Required: 7
