Good morning- Last night, with only two days left in the 2013 legislative session, the Florida Senate used a shady rule to withdraw a proposed anti-Muslim bill from its final committee and placed it on the floor calendar for debate and vote.  This means we have only 48 hours to do everything we can to defeat the discriminatory bill, SB 58. It's like dejavu all over again.  Sorry for flooding you with emails, but this matter is so urgent. Minutes ago, the Florida Senate proved they're more interested in pushing their discriminatory agenda instead of hearing or representing the people. Realizing that opposition to the bill was rapidly growing, the Florida Senate President just WITHDREW SB 58 from the Rules Committee and placed it on the Senate Floor calendar for a 2nd reading and vote. These guys are doing everything to SHOVE THIS BILL through before our campaign reaches its full momentum. Their action is definitely suspicious and is evidence that they're scared to debate the merits of this legislation. IT'S CRITICAL THAT WE FLOOD THE FLORIDA SENATE WITH MORE LETTERS & PHONE CALLS. Our campaign to defeat Senate Bill 58 (a bill intended to target the Muslim community) has been so effective that we've halted its advancement for almost a month.  The next stop for the bill was supposed to be the Rules Committee, where we hoped to mobilize more opposition to stop this reckless runaway train.
