Hyperion System Administrator

Location:  Duluth, GA

Duration: 6 months


 

 Position Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting the Administrative functions of Hyperion products such as FM, Planning and Essbase. This person will need an understanding of financial reporting and analytical software which includes strong functional-technical skills. This person will need to possess a desire for learning and for understanding the system structure in order to help maintain and improve the financial reporting system. Individuals in this position work at a technical level with Hyperion products, the underlying database, operating system, and hardware platform. Interaction with the Functional teams, various technical teams, and business stakeholders to optimize and maintain the overall Hyperion reliability, availability, and performance. This person must exhibit an understanding of the importance of a controlled environment for tracking data.  The position will work with finance and accounting personnel from corporate offices and the business units. This person will have a firm understanding of the structure and functionality of general ledger and accounting systems. The selected person needs to be resourceful, confident under pressure, and deliverable oriented. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

- The Hyperion Administrator is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, documenting, training, implementation, maintaining and enhancing of the Hyperion Essbase and Planning environment to meet business needs.

- Provide assistance to the business for monthly financial close and reporting and annual budget and forecast processes.
- Responsible for maintaining the mapping software Financial Data Quality Management (FDQM)
- Responsible for new user set-up and periodic review of existing users as well as maintain user security.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of data sources.
- Creation and implementation of process improvements which includes testing, validating and documenting change process.
- Develop and implement new reporting and analytical processes to better analyze and coordinate monthly reporting and ad hoc requests.

- Ability to maintain system stability, support multiple versions, and optimize the production environment. 
- Thorough understanding of Hyperion Development Architecture and the Administration Console. 
- Proven experience in development, implementations, production support, and upgrades.
- Providing customer support for Hyperion modules Planning and Essbase.
- Assisting users with configuration decisions and administration decisions.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and working with Oracle Support to resolve Service   Requests.
- Installing, upgrading, configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting Hyperion Planning.
- Maintaining Administrator documentation for all customizations and extensions.
- Hyperion Administration- installations, upgrades, patches, backup and recovery, and optimization
- Resource Management - Prioritize activities in support of the business objectives.
