Job Title: Technical Architect (can be either an Application Architect or Enterprise Architect)

Location: Memphis, TN (downtown)

Duration: 12-24 Months Contract or Contract to Hire

Start Date: ASAP

 

Job Description:

·         Minimum 5 years US experience Need positive Professional References Experience Primary Accountability

·         Utilizes extensive technical knowledge to partner with the project team (technical and business team members) to ensure project success

 

Fulfills the role of project architect and:

·         Is accountable for the technical design of the overall system architecture at the project level

·         Leads technical teams in meeting delivery commitments

·         Functions in the role of Technical Subject Matter Expert

·         Consistently applies business and technical knowledge to help establish, maintain, and enforce technical direction and standards

·         Develops staff technical skills through training and mentoring as required to ensure robust, resilient, complete applications

·         Researches new technologies and participate in short and long range architectural planning as required

·         Provides leadership and guidance to development staff on the use of application frameworks, secure programming practices and proper business continuity practices.

·         Coordinates complex software package integrations

·         Ensures code is developed to specifications

·         Performs system coding

·         Delivers business value by producing high quality software Education

·         Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Math, CS, or related area Experience

·         10 years' minimum experience with at least 5 years in designing projects and/or implementation

·         Excellent software development skills using C, C++, Java or other computer languages necessary to support the business

·         Experience with estimating large projects

 

Experience and proficiency in delivering the following:

·         Software/system design, hardware and software specifications, implementation and execution protocols

·         Extensive architecture and design experience with complex systems Required Skills

·         Deep Development and Design Experience using Java and the Spring Framework

·         Experience working with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). (The client is heading in this direction but has not fully transitioned to SOA yet.)

 

Desired Skills

·         Experience with Build/Deployment tools (such as Maven, Gradle, Ant, Ivy, Jenkins)

·         Strong UNIX/Linux skills - looking for experience deploying applications in a UNIX/Linux environment; troubleshooting application issues in UNIX/Linux.

·         Java/C/C++ Programming

·         Oracle or Postgres or Informix or DB2

·         QT4 - (this is a C++ development framework)
