Java Developer! This position will be working with a second tier support team and will be working on developing tools for the first tier support team. The Hiring Manager is looking for someone who is able to structure work logically and has a solid understanding of development practices. In addition to the requirements listed on the posting, the Hiring Manager requires that candidates have knowledge of Linux. Additionally, they would also prefer to see candidates with Test Driven Development experience. The Hiring Manager stressed that he is looking for a candidate that has solid development experience and knowledge, he is not necessarily looking for a veteran. Thank you!
Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business applications. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to the Application Support Team Lead.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience with Java web applications.
- 3+ years experience with relational database and SQL; Oracle preferred.
- 1+ years experience with ORM frameworks; Hibernate or JPA preferred.
- 1+ years' experience with any web UI framework, GWT or Angular.js preferred.
- 1+ years' experience with JMS and message bus technology.
- Experience with and good working understanding of Linux preferred.
- Understand the full process of SDLC.
Preference given to experience with: Service Oriented Architecture, Spring, restful services, and JQuery.
