Job Description:

 

Position: Front End Developer

Duration: long term contract

Location: Foster City-CA

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.     Design, implement and unit test Web Application code

2.     Work with a variety of internal business stakeholders to understand and implement complex business functionality

3.     Deliver project assignments on time, within budget and with high quality

4.     Stay current with the newest online technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations

5.     Work with the Lead to review technical specifications as required, meeting the objectives of functional specifications. Specifically, identifying specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures or functions as required

6.     Collaborate with Architects and other Software Engineering resources in designing and implementing integrated, enterprise solutions

 

Qualifications:

1.     BS/MS in Computer Science or related field

2.     Min 3+ years of experience in building web applications using the latest standards-based approaches (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3)

3.     Experience with server side technologies like JSP, Java, and Struts 2 (or similar server generation technologies)

4.     Experience developing mobile friendly web pages

5.     Has worked on a minimum of 2 high traffic enterprise level production sites

6.     Demonstrable knowledge of Semantic HTML markup

7.     Experience with Continuous Integration and automated testing strategies

8.     Experience in incorporating and utilizing BDD / TDD / JavaScript unit testing frameworks (Jasmine, Mocha)

9.     Knowledge of JavaScript design patterns and frameworks like Backbone, Handlebars, Underscore, and so on

10.   Experience with Ant or Maven build tools, SVN / GIT source control systems
