Requirements :

I have another position that just came up for a QA new tools / international web position. The position would be half tools, half international web. The Tools project are for web services for international markets to change menu or coupons on their own. This will be related to client international website, there will be testing on the sites there as well.

Project:  

 

Developer will be working on an internal project building a web interface to allow employees to record content similar in nature to the set top DVR devices.  After a brief trial later this year, this product will be rolled out nation wide.

 

Job Description:

 

Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. 

 

Contributing to all layers of our technology stack including back-end services, databases, APIs and web-based user interface - Working with and supporting other technical team members. This is a product development team with a variety of projects in the queue. The candidate will work on web application projects, tools development etc. and could possibly work on more than one project anytime.

 

• Java developer with 3-5 years of experience
• Strong hands on development skills; Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience developing medium to large applications
• In depth knowledge of programming concepts and object-oriented programming
• Strong knowledge of web programming specifics and experience in building web-based applications
• Experience with MVC frameworks and REST methodology (creating and consuming REST web services); Angular.Js experience desired
• Ability and experience working with and parsing JSON in Java
• Understanding and experience with GIT is preferred
• Experience working with relational databases (MySQL experience a plus); interaction is generally with REST and Java APIs but understanding of SQL would be helpful

Expertise with client side JavaScript, CSS and HTML based UI development 

Job Title : MySQL DBA Lead

Requirements :

Strong communication skills including oral and written; this position will mentoring other team members and some occasional customer interactions and communication/presentation skills is important

Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

Well rounded understanding of modern database technologies and basic database theory as well as how it relates to NoSQL development such as use of MySQL

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to organize, plan and lead development efforts

General understanding of basic programming techniques and concepts; experience working with languages/frameworks such as Java - Hibernate, Ruby On Rails and PHP a plus

3-5 years of experience working with MySQL; must have hands-on development as well as significant database Administration experience

3-5 years of experience working with Linux and/or other *nix operating systems

Working knowledge of standard *nix scripting languages

Working knowledge specific to replication

Ability to plan and implement MySQL database replication

Solid understanding of database partitioning and sharding

Solid understanding and experience optimizing MySQL usage

Experience working with MySQL backup and recovery strategies

Knowledge of MySQL HA solutions

Looking for a candidate with a strong personality and great communication skills to create and direct some deployment and automation projects for our team, as well as lead and mentor them in best practices.   Ability to do Java development work in addition to deployment automation would be considered a strong plus.
