Job Position: PeopleSoft Techno-functional (60% Technical, 40% functional)
Location : Hercules, CA
Duration : 6+ months

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead System design, configuration/code and unit test PeopleSoft related projects
  • Gather business requirements, analyze business processes and provide options using best practices
  • Develop and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft core HR and external applications like Success Factors, ADP Payroll, Silk Road, Plateau LMS, Ceridian Benefits, etc.
  • Manage documents including business requirements, business process flows (As-Is and To-Be), functional and specifications, Technical design, Test scripts, etc.
  • Develop test scripts tied to business requirements and act as an independent tester
  • Communicates with HRIS team and business process owners on a routine basis
  • Manage mid-size projects within PeopleSoft while engaging key stakeholders
  • Manage IT Service requests/incidents related to PeopleSoft and keep the cases within Target levels
  • Work directly with Oracle (PeopleSoft) and vendors on system issues, patches, upgrades, downtimes, etc. to provide excellent support and proactively communicate to users

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:
General

  • Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with technical, functional experts and end-users
  • Strong knowledge of and adherence to development standards and implementing best practices
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work both as an individual contributor and in a team
  • Ability to manage and organize workload effectively, prioritize tasks, manage time well
  • Ability to communicate in non-English languages like French, German, Japanese or Italian is a plus

 

 FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL

  • Functional experience in multiple functional areas such as core HR, Compensation, Performance, etc.
  • Strong business analysis skills including requirements, design, process re-engineering, data analysis and reporting, Testing/QA, etc.
  • Strong development expertise to build Reports/Queries/Interface development using tools - Oracle SQL , PS Query , SQR and App Engine Programming
  • Strong knowledge of PeopleTools 8.49 or higher (Peoplecode, Application Designer, XML Publisher, ExcelToCI, SQL, PS Query, SQR and App engine, etc.)
  • Experience in PeopleSoft Employee and Manager Self-service modules (MSS, ESS, AWE)
  • Strong debugging skills on Peoplecode/SQRs/App Engine/and overall PS Application
  • Experience in SDLC and Agile development processes

 

EDUCATION

  • B.S in Computer Science, Engineering, Human Resources or a related field
  • Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification will be a plus

 EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience using PeopleSoft development tools
  • 2+ years of experience supporting PeopleSoft (core HR) in a functional or Business Analyst role
  • 2+ full life-cycle PeopleSoft implementations/upgrade projects preferably in a global company
  • 1+ PeopleSoft upgrade projects throughout their life-cycle; upgrade to 9.2 will be a plus
  • 1+ year of experience supporting SuccessFactors application preferably in a multi-lingual environment
