Noor's brother, Pir Vilayet Khan, was my teacher for 7 years when I was in the Sufi Order of the West. Pir means teacher and Noor means light. The Sufi Order of the West was started by Murshid (another title) who was father to Vilayet and grandfather to the current leader Zia. The Abode (as their headquarters are called) is located in upper New York state on the grounds of a beautiful old Shaker farm.
We often heard about Noor and her courage. Pir would cry when he mentioned her name.

I have also been corresponding with Noor's family.
